Called to the bar in 1993, over his 25-year legal career in which he has represented employers, individuals, as well as union clients, Robert’s experience and expertise in all areas of employment and labour law is noteworthy.

In matters ranging from grievance arbitration, union certifications, collective bargaining, wrongful and unjust dismissal to employer compliance with legislation, Robert has demonstrated the breadth of his proficiency in employment and labour law, distinguishing himself as a top expert in his field of practice.

Because of the spectrum of his expertise, Robert has represented clients before numerous administrative bodies and in the civil courts, acting in trials and appeal matters. These include the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Ontario Divisional Court and Court of Appeal, the Ontario Labour Relations Board, and the Canada Industrial Relations Board.

Beyond extensive litigation experience, Robert’s experience representing both employer and union/employee interests uniquely positions him to offer strategic insight based on an unparalleled understanding of all perspectives. As a result, his advice is both pragmatic and context-sensitive resulting in efficient and sensible outcomes for the clients he represents.
