Margot’s practice has a specific focus on civil litigation dealing with commercial, construction and estate law-related issues.

Having attended the University of Ottawa, for her Bachelor’s degree, she graduated from the French Common Law Program in 2010, articled for MBC’s predecessor firm in 2010-2011, joined as an associate in June 2011 and later became partner.

Now a partner with MBC Law, Margot also serves as management of MBC’s financial loss litigation team, who pursue investment industry cases across Canada. She advocates for clients claiming financial losses in breach and negligence cases across the country, in both official languages.

Before 2010, Margot developed experience in various legal positions with the federal public service in areas of program delivery and policy, including with the Department of National Defence with the Office of the Judge Advocate General (JAG), the Office to the Secretary to the Governor-General of Canada (OSGG), and Transport Canada (TC).

A proud member of the Ontario Bar Association, County of Carleton Law Association, The Advocates Society and L’Association des juristes d’expression française de l’Ontario (AJEFO).

Margot delights in supporting a variety of Eastern Ontario community groups and events including educating lawyers and individuals through advocacy programs and teaching. Margot co-chairs an annual educational program in Ontario. She also enjoys delivering talks related to Law and Investments to conferences, clubs and associations in both French and English.
